31 Days of Crafting - Day Two - Friends Forever

HAPPY NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH!!!!  I had DT posts yesterday, but I just had to get that out of my system.  I'm so excited, I love March.  I love the shopping and the new products and the creating and all the projects I'm trying to make and share. It's hysteria but I LOVE it!

Another thing I love?  Friends.  My favorite show of all time.  I absolutely had to get this stamp and die and paper collection when it came out, but it occured to me about a week ago that I could REALLY challenge myself creatively by using the colored die cuts that came in my bundle INSTEAD of the stamps and coordinating dies!

It was definitely a challenge.  For starters, I'm not a fan of the white edging on stamped images so I fussy-cut the white edge off of allllllll the die cuts.  It was a bit tricky with the lobster's antennae and Phoebe's guitar but I made it work.  I also had to darken Chandler's hair, because the precolored shade was just too pale.  It was almost the shade Chandler had briefly in S4 while Matthew Perry was doing reshoots for Three to Tango, but still too blonde.  So I changed that.

I kind of hid Monica behind the couch a little bit lololol.  But overall I'm really happy with how it turned out.

31 Days of Crafting - Day Ten - SLAY EVERY DAY

So before saying the word slay was associated with general female empowerment, it represented Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Not the movie with Luke Perry, that was pretty lame.  No, the series was awesome for three seasons (it ended after the Ascention for most of us) and it has always stayed with me.  I love rewatching it, and have literally seen everything David Boreanaz has ever done because, well, I have eyes.  Even though Sarah Michelle Gellar and I aren't seeing eye to eye right now (long story), I will always love Buffy.  (And her movie Cruel Intentions but that's a completely different conversation and card!)

When I saw this die from Simon Says Stamp, I knew I had to have it because Buffy.  I thought the copper background was a nice nod to The Bronze, the club they hung out at on the series.  And I used pink glitter for the sentiment because Buffy was always a girly girl, even when she hated to admit it.

HOW IS IT ALMOST NOVEMBER?!?!?!?

I had ideas.  Plans.  Oh, how I had plans.  And then, life interfered.

This is the last day, last few hours, of the BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Link Up.  And I really planned to make a card, maybe more than one card, each day of the hop.

But, life.

So here's one card.  I prepped a bunch of cards to finish over this week and it didn't happen.  Let's see what I can get done in three hours.

Elf is one of my favorite Christmas movies.  When I saw the Paper House had Elf paper and stickers, well I bought an embarrassing amount of them!

STAMPtember - Day Twenty-Six - Can't. Stop. Coffee.

I'm all about the anniversaries lately, I swear.  Fifteen years ago today, the final season of Gilmore Girls premiered.  I remember being so apprehensive about it because Amy was gone as showrunner (it didn't fare Dawson's Creek very well!) and season six hadn't ended well, and I was concerned about where all the turmoil with the WB/UPN/CW was going to affect things.  All in all, season seven wound up being pretty good, if you think about all the obstacles.  Anyways, enough reminiscing.  Here's my card.  I loooooove Unity Stamps because they have so many images that I consider Lorelais!

STAMPtember - Day Twenty-Three - Friendly Silhouettes

Happy 28th birthday to my favorite show, a show that needs no explanation or introduction.  A show that makes me laugh whether I've seen the episode a hundred times or a thousand.  I love it.  Always have, always wll.

Fifteen Years Ago Today....

So ya'all know that I'm obsessed with Veronica Mars (well, I was, the ugliness that was season four did affect that profoundly but anyway).  I bought this stamp like ten years ago solely because the quote was from a fortune cookie on the show, even though technically that fortune belonged to the WRONG couple.  I like to tell myself that although Veronica put it on her bedroom mirror after Duncan left, it was really about Logan.  She was trying to make herself not want Logan by being with Duncan, but come on.  Everything was always about Logan.

I digress.

Anyways, I made this card because the show ended fifteen years ago today.  And yes, we had the movie that renewed all our faith in television shows and ships in general, but then S4 happened and...

Yeah, tangent again.  Fandoms do that to me.

So yeah, here's the card :)

31 Days of Crafting - Day Three - I Say Stupid Things

Everyone has a favorite Friend, right??  Mine is Chandler!  Friends is without question my favorite show of all time, so I wanted to make a Friends card during National Craft Month.  I'm posting it today because Friends aired on Thursday nights.

31 Days of Crafting - Day Ten - SLAY DAY 2019!!!!

Happy Slay Day!!!  Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered twenty-two years ago today!  I can't actually believe it was that long ago.  I was actually not instantly a fan.  I'm not even sure why I stuck with it, but eventually I came to loooooove Buffy.  Season 3 is my favorite.  I like to make cards celebrating pop culture and things I love, so I made this.

I don't usually put things inside my cards, but I couldn't help myself with this one!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Ten - SLAY ALL DAY!!

Happy Buffy Day!!!  21 years ago today, Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered.  Buffy is one of my favorite shows, but only the first three years!!  When I think of the character of Buffy, I think of her as spunky, mouthy and tough.  (One of the things I hate about the later seasons of Buffy is how weak she became!)  When I saw this stamp, I instantly thought of Buffy.  S3 Buffy.
