31 Days of Crafting - Day Thirty-One - BIG Birthday Box Card!!

WOW, I made it!  Every year I hope to finish this month exactly how I want to and there is always a hiccup!  This year I am super proud of my final project to share, a GIANT birthday box card that was a custom order.  There was a LOT of work involved in this project, lots of layers and test projects to get it just right.  In the end though, I love how it turned out!!

This card is too sparkly, said NO ONE EVER!!

I mean, really.  I love custom jobs because they make magic happen.

When the card is flattened, it looks like this:

The large purple panel is for the personal message.

This is how the card looked all full of tickets.  This was possibly one of my favorite projects to make, EVER!!!

#HEARTS

Happy World Hearts Day!  I actually didn't even know that existed, but I saw it over at 613 Avenue Create and I wanted to participate.  I lost my grandmother to a heart attack and I'm very dedicated now to awareness and prevention.

The red heart is glittery but it doesn't fully show up in the photo.  The flower and heart center are shimmery, too.  I loooove glittery, shimmery cards I just wish they showed up better!!

I also picked that background paper and the color assortment 'cause I didn't want it to look too valentine-y.  Mission accomplished. :)

Classic Romance

Happy Glee-Is-Back-Day!  I feel like it's been months since my show's been on.  I know the past two seasons have been horrible and it's been painful to watch since Cory died, but still, I love my Glee.  Can't wait to see Rachel sing tonight.

So with that said, I had to hurry and finish this card before Glee starts.  I got some new stamps recently so I'm still making love-themed cards.  I wanted to give this one kind of a classic look.

It's hard to see in the photo but the embossed background has an ombre pink-to-red background. I think that's my favorite part.

The flourish embellishment I made myself.  I prefer that to store-bought embellies anyday.

Heart Attack

The minute you saw that post title from me, I KNOW you were thinking I was gonna be singing the Demi Lovato song.  But I'm not!  I've got a custom-made Valentine I created to share with you, and it's literally FULL of hearts.

Here's the front.  Some hearts, some bling, but just you wait :)

BOOM.  Heart attack! :)

I love how all the hearts came together on the pop-up steps.

I wanted to show a close-up on the handmade flowers and the wooden flourish. I made the flourish and flowers myself.  I love handmade embellishments, they allow you to customize the colors of the card.
