**STASHBUSTERS IG HOP** Week Eight - Card Two

Welcome to the Stashbusters 2024 Paper Crafting Hop hosted by @armenscraftroom, @avedamontedesigns, @bkeeleycrafts, @hilarygreek, @createwithkas and @touchofmagik.  Stashbusters post 3-6 creative paper projects every other Tuesday.  Our goal is to use the items we already own to create between 81-162 projects in 2024.



This week our challenge was to use any card sketch to make cards with a Graduation or Celebration theme!  This stamp just makes me so happy, and I have ALWAYS loved this song!!  It's doubly special because my niece helped me glue the embellishments on.  That kid is my heart.


Normally I put all my cards in one post but I’m changing things up.  I used the current month's sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this is number #275.

CRAFTmas in July - Day Thirty - A Thrill of Hope

Happy Saturday!!  My second to last card for this Christmas filled month is another non traditional one. I JUST got this shaker card set from Queen and Company, and I couldn't wait to play with it.  I absolutely love this sentiment die, because "O Holy Night" is my favorite Christmas song.

CRAFTmas In July - Day Two - Many Times, Many Ways

Happy July everyone!!  I wanted to try something new this year, posting a Christmas project each day.  I don't know if it'll happen but we'll see.  I have high hopes.

Today's card uses sketch #1 from Challenge #6 at Kendra's Card Challenge.  Check it out and play along, so super fun!


Sidenote: I know that "The Christmas Song" is legendary but it's never been one of my favorites.  I love this sentiment for a card though.  I'm complicated.

A Marshmallow World

So we had our first snow, and I slept through it!  In my defense, I'd been up eighteen hours straight with a very cranky toddler and I was exhausted!  Then yesterday we had the second snow and I DID see it while it was falling.  It didn't really stick.  Just my luck.  Like my hero Lorelai Gilmore, I too LOVE snow.  It jut makes everything look and feel magical, and especially right now it's a wonderful escape.  I've been playing Christmas music since midnight on November 1st, so this song was obviously inspired by the lyrics on the stamp.  Brenda Lee rocks.

Look for the RAINBOW in Every Storm....

It's been a rough day here.  I don't even think I've fully grasped yet what's been going on.  But all of a sudden I heard these song lyrics in my head and boom, I was putting aside what I NEEDED to do and making this, because that was something I HAD to do.  Completing this card made me feel a little lighter, even if it was only for a minute.

STAMPtember - Day One - Look At The Stars

IT'S STAMPTEMBER!!!!!!!!  Also known as National Stamping Month, this is the best time of year for STAMPING!  Once again, I'm trying to cram this month with non-DT posts using cards that have stamping OTHER THAN sentiments.  It's not the easiest thing for me to do, but I have to say this card was SO fun.  I just don't do heat embossing enough.  It gives you so many possibilities!!!

I also love this card 'cause it's inspired by Coldplay lyrics.  I actually got this stamp set BECAUSE of the Coldplay lyrics.  And when I got the stamps I had to get the matching dies too and the rest was history!

California Gurl

The minute I saw this digi, I heard "California Gurls" by Katy Perry in my head.  Needless to say I grabbed my Ultimate Confection CD and got to creating.  I actually colored her with blue hair at first to match Katy in the video, but I wasn't happy with that so I started over.
