Lucky Stars -- Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post

Happy Tuesday!!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese brand ambassador post, and today I've got a new take on a Galaxy background using Liquid Metals!!  These are available in Gold and Silver and they're an amazing opaque ink that can be blended with watercolors, inks, texture pastes and more.  I looooove how they blended to create this background!!!

I took a large acrylic block and dropped Gold and Silver Liquid Metals on the block in no pattern.  I then picked the block up and plopped it down on a piece of black cardstock, twisting and turning the block until I got the look I wanted.  I then stamped a few accent stars on top of the background piece and it was good to go.  I used a scrap of the same paper for the sentiment.  I loved the way putting more pressure on the block, like with the sentiment strip, made the background more opaque.  These inks are super versatile.

For The Love Of Unity Day Two - It's My Party

Happy Monday!!!  It's day two of my Unity Stamps week, and today I've got a fun birthday card using a new favorite of mine, Margaret Girl.  This was one of those cards that started out as something completely different than I intended it to.  I originally was going to make her dress pink, but then I thought no I wanna do something different.  These are brand new metallic pencils that I just got, and when I started to blend the blue colors, it looked just like denim.  And I leaned back, looked at the image and was like OMG Justin and Britney!!  If you remember, Justin and Britney wore matching. Denim. Outfits. to the 2001 VMAs!!!  When I saw how this card was forming, I'd already colored her hair dark or I would've made her a blonde!   The irony of this is that the 2018 VMAs are tonight.  (I wouldn't watch them if you paid me because music today is abysmal, but still, it's ironic.)

SURPRISE!!!  I'm an easel card!!!

Some challenges for this awesome card:

For the Love of Unity Day One - Mermaid Shake

So the last few years, I was part of Unity Stamp Company's Growing in Unity program, to promote their stamps and share the love for their awesome designs.  I'm not a part of that this year, but I still wanted to make a bunch of cards with their amazing stamps and devote a week of my blog to their amazingness.  So this year I'm calling it For the Love of Unity and today is Day One.

I've actually been sort of lazy with my blog this summer.  I've taken time off to just create and ignore all the monotonous writing and posting and entering of challenges but I think I'm ready to get back to routine with it.

I wanted to start today with a mermaid card!!!  You all know I love mermaids and Unity has some amazing mermaid stamps like this one, Adella Girl.

I'm kicking off this week with a bunch of challenges:

Love You - Momenta Brand Ambassador Post

Happy Hump Day!!  I've got another Momenta Brand Ambassador post for you today, with a super cute love-themed card!  I don't think we tell those who matter to us most how we feel enough, so I've been trying to make more love and love you cards.  The Love Vellum Stickers were perfect to create the ground for this card. I used the Vibrant Combo Pad for the paper on this card.  The reversible prints give you tons of options.

Free Floating - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post

Happy Tuesday!!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese brand ambassador post, and yes, it's another mermaid project!!!  I'm so into them this year!!!  The idea for this card actually began from a piece of scrap paper I'd been watercoloring on top of.  The colors had seeped out in a sort of messy striping and I just loved how it looked!!  I used my artsy best friend, Brea Reese Glitter Inks for the background, and colored the card with the Glitter Inks, Watercolor Inks, Fineliner Pens and Glitter Water Brushes!

I didn't want really defined stripes, so I painted all the Lake Blue stripes first.  Then I filled in the spaces with Ultramarine Blue and semi-blended them together with Liquid Glitter.  That stuff is incredible!  The Sea Creatures die cuts were colored with Glitter Inks as well.

Be sure to check out the Glitter Inks and all the other Brea Reese products!!  Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Laters!!

Stamp-Free Stack of Cards - Momenta Brand Ambassador Post!!

Happy Hump Day!!  I've got another Momenta Brand Ambassador post for you today, with a stack of stamp-free cards!!  Sometimes I just don't feel like stamping, so I build my cards around my paper and die cuts.  I used the Bright Basics 6x6 Paper Pad to pick my color palette for these cards.  I wanted an assortment of sentiments, so I grabbed the Hello Word Fetti dies and made a bunch of cards in a very short time.

I'm really happy to have all these cards at the ready to send out.  One of my goals this year was to send more cards.

The Flamingo & Pineapple set was the perfect compliment to these colors!

These flowers and leaves from the same die set are so versatile, I always keep them on hand cut out of white or watercolor cardstock so I can quickly color them to match whatever project I'm working on.

These are a bit of a struggle.  Masculine cards and I.....we don't always get along.  I'm pretty happy with these though. The distressed look of the Bright Basics paper adds a bit of vintage flair.

When I finished with these I wished I'd had more time to make more.  They were so fun and easy.
