I am so excited to share my project with you today!

I wanted to make something special so I immediately thought of a 3-D project.  After racking my brain I came up with these cute tealight holders.  I used battery operated tealights because fire and paper do NOT mix!!

Aren't they so cute?  I wanted them to work when displayed together or solo, and I think I achieved that so I'm pretty happy with them.

First is the Reaper.  I used Punch 916 with the A positioning part on half-inch strips of black cardstock to create the borders.  I actually think this is my favorite of the three.

I love it lit up in the dark :)

Next is the blueprint skull.  I've got an obsession with skulls this year, I think I like how they're spooky but not really just for Halloween.  I cut a three-quarter-inch piece of brown cardstock and punched it with Punch 923 with the A positioning guide in.  I used the same punc on the top of the tealight holder too, but no matter how I angled my camera, it didn't wanna show up well in the photograph.

You can see it a little better in the lit-up photo.

Last is my purple owl.  It doesn't show up in the photos, but he's shimmery.  I punched the top of my purple vellum with Punch 907 and then ran it through an embossing folder.  This was my first tine embossing on vellum and I learned to ALWAYS use an extra piece of cardstock as a shim--it takes some of the pressure off of the vellum so the folder doesn't cut it.

I don't have a picture of this one lit up, because being dark purple, it wouldn't show up in the dark enough to get a good image.

Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my post in our Blog Hop!  Your next stop is Lisa -  Have fun hopping around and good luck in the contest!

A Wicked Owl and Just Imagine Crafts!

Hi everyone!  Happy hump day!  I've got an extra post with Just Imagine Crafts this week, and it's a WICKED Owl card.

I used the amazing Kreaxions Punch 304 to create the borders.  The positioning guides make it super easy to line up your punches!  Then I used an orange scrap from Punch 311 to add a pop of color!

Autumn Blessings with Just Imagine Crafts!

Hey everyone!  Today I've got a great black-and-white-and-orange card to share with you using Kreaxions punches from Just Imagine Crafts!.  I used the Kreaxions Stencil  to punch the circle that's the base for my pumpkin design.  The circle was cut with the Kreaxions Circle Cutter-- it makes cutting layers a breeze.  The inspiration for this card was all around me in my craft room.  Halloween and fall everywhere.  And I LOVE fall but have been wanting to do fall that's not necessarily Thanksgiving or Halloween, and this is what I've come up with!

The punch I used on this is the Cross - Punch 919, I love hove how it matches the damask paper I chose.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Just Imagine Design Team has come up with this week!  Laters!

Witches, Practical Magic....

11-4-12 EDITED TO ADD:  I have resigned my post with Papelitos stamps due to many different factors.  If you know the origins of this image please let me know so I can give the actual artist credit!!

Hi everyone!  I LOVE Halloween and witches are probably my favorite part.  I won't lie I watched my favorite Halloween movie, Practical Magic, while making this card.

I LOVE how this turned out!  The faux vintage look of the candlestick especially.  I've got tons more projects to work on. Laters!

Up Up and Away with Just Imagine Crafts

Happy Monday everyone!  I'm excited to start this crafty week off right with a new card for Just Imagine Crafts!  (I'm also excited that Revenge came back last night--how good was that?!?!?)

I'm really happy with how this card turned out.  I used Kreaxions Punch 918 to create the borders on this card. Their four-in-one punches make it super easy to create unique borders, corners and frames.
