Blue Cocoa Christmas

Happy Christmas in January!  Shout out of those of us who still have our trees up (and we're still playing Christmas music and watching Christmas movies 😂).  After a crazy mild winter, we've finally had a couple of weeks of COLD and SNOW and SLEET and I have to say I sort of love it.  I think seasons should commit, you know?  Winter = cold.  Summer = hot.  Anyway, I really love how this card came out.

(Full disclosure, I have been watching a lot of Bluey with my nieces, this card's color palette might have been inspired by that theme!)

Now I have to admit that I have always hated my birthstone!  Being a November baby, topaz is my birthstone and a yellowy-brown stone was like the worst thing for a Barbie Girl like me to get.  Strangely enough though, when I was eight and getting my ears pierced, everyone wanted me to get the little gold balls but I chose my birthstone instead.  I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've ever picked it for anything! Anyways, I didn't want to literally put a big ole topaz stone on my card, so I went with the color, and some stones.  I mixed that with my favorite color, purple, and some matte gold shimmer to make my card.  I actually love how it turned out.

**STASHBUSTERS 2024 PAPER CRAFTING HOP** Week 2 - Hard to Use Paper!

Welcome to the Stashbusters 2024 Paper Crafting Hop hosted by @armenscraftroom, @avedamontedesigns, @bkeeleycrafts, @hilarygreek, @kellysantidesigns, and @touchofmagik. Today’s theme is “Layered Cards Using Hard to Use Paper Pads”. So my self-imposed “2020 Project” was I went through all my paper pads and tried to rip out/use up all the paper I disliked. My niece had a field day with a lot of it last year, but that didn’t leave me with a lot for this hop. But I recently bought a bunch of old paper pads on Facebook and this pad was the one I liked the absolute least, so I pulled out those sheets and got to work. (True story: I bought this whole pad for two sheets with clocks because Alice in Wonderland!)

**ANYTHING GOES** New Challenge with The Creative Crafters!!

Happy middle-of-the-month!  It's the fifteenth and that means it's time for a new challenge at Creative Crafters!  As always our challenge is Anything Goes!!!  As it's ten days until Christmas, of course I made a Christmas card!!  I just got this paper and it really inspired me to let it be the star and just bling it up, and I'm so happy that I did!

OMG I love love love LOVE this paper!!

I love allll the bling but those tiny AB pearls around the door might be my favorite.

Best Mugs Are Christmas Mugs!!!

The best mugs are Christmas mugs, am I right?  Filled with tea or hot chocolate, yum!  I'm craving hot cocoa now.  Wonder if I could make it without my nice noticing....(she already had Oreos today, I don't want to cause a sugar rush!)
