Happy Hump Day!  Today I have an awesome 3-D project that I made for my brother.


There's over 100 individual stars on this decoration!  I added a hanger after the fact and I made the little paperclips too.  Pretty great gift right?  #bestsisterever

    This is one of the games we played at my SIL's bridal shower.  She LOVES scratch-off ticket so we figured these were perfect.  And yes we did all the stamping ourselves!

    31 Days of Crafting - Day Ten - SLAY ALL DAY!!

    Happy Buffy Day!!!  21 years ago today, Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered.  Buffy is one of my favorite shows, but only the first three years!!  When I think of the character of Buffy, I think of her as spunky, mouthy and tough.  (One of the things I hate about the later seasons of Buffy is how weak she became!)  When I saw this stamp, I instantly thought of Buffy.  S3 Buffy.

    31 Days of Crafting - Day Nine - Looks Like She's Thirty!!

    It's time now to celebrate the second most important woman in my life, Barbie.  I don't remember getting her for the first time as a three year old, but I also don't remember my life without her.  I played with my Barbies until I was older than most I'm sure, and continued to make clothes and accessories for them long after that (I wanted to be a fashion designer for awhile--my inability to sew kind of threw a snag into that one!).  I still love her and continue to treat myself to a Barbie now and then, especially those with "current" fashion.  She's an icon, she's had every career under the sun, and at neatly sixty, she looks no older than thirty and that's based on what she's wearing!!

    31 Days of Crafting - Day Eight - Celebrating Women

    Today is International Women's Day, and I did choose to make this card to celebrate that, but I want to make a point: I am NOT one of those crazy women in a crass hat displaying private parts that is marching to "get back" the nothing that was taken away from them.  I celebrated this day long before that crap started and I'll still be celebrating it when the Hollywood elite has grown tired of marching for nothing and has moved on.  I celebrate International Women's Day because I'm proud to be a woman.  Okay soapbox moment over!  Onto the art!!

    Yesterday you saw my DT post for Creative Moments!  We're celebrating International Women's day with our girly theme this fortnight, so I wanted to make an extra card, especially since I already had this awesome image from one of our sponsors, Scrap N Dipity!

    OH and before you look at the card, I have have HAVE to talk about my favorite new mixed media find.  Brea Reese modeling pastes and texture pastes!  This is the gold modeling paste.  See how shiny and SMOOTH it is?  It dries with a glossy smooth finish.  Their texture pastes have a almost pebbled or dotted finish, you'll see that in an upcoming post.  I'm obsessed with these pastes!

    31 Days of Crafting - Day One - New Ideas

    I make a cards.  I make so. many. cards.  And when I started to plan out my National Craft Month blog posts for this year, I thought it might be fun to NOT make cards.  So most of what I'll share this month will be something else.  Banners.  Boxes.  Bags.  Anything that comes to me in the moment.  I'll still share cards, I'll still have my DT projects of course.  But I just don't wanna share thirty or forty cards like usual.

    Today I'm kicking things off with a really fun project.  It was a commissioned project for a 30th birthday.  The recipient LOVES lottery tickets and it just came together so perfectly.


    You can't really tell from the photo but the sign was huge.  The hearts were all glued on permanently but I made the tickets temporary so that the board could be used again in the future for other events.  The client loved it!!
