Happy Friday!  I had such lofty goals for this year's Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, but alas, life got in the way and all I got made was this and possibly one other card if I can finish it in the next hour.  We'll see.  Bright side, I have lots of IDEAS to write down for next year's hop! :)  If I can find my notes then....

    **ANYTHING GOES** New Challenge with The Creative Crafters!!

    Happy middle-of-the-month!  It's the fifteenth and that means it's time for a new challenge at Creative Crafters!  As always our challenge is Anything Goes!!!  We had one whole day of fall weather and now we're back to humid.  Ugh!  So I made a fall card cause I love sweater weather and we get so little of it. Mostly we go from 90s to puffer coats lol.  This image from last month's KOM from Unity Stamps is just amazing.

    STAMPtember - Day Eleven - Take Two (technically Three) - Happy Birthday, Nessie!!!

    Three posts today!  There's a lot going on.

    My fellow Twihards will know that today is Renesmee Cullen's birthday.  Per the books, she's eighteen!  Crazy.  I hope Jacob's keeping his creeper distance cause.....yecch!  Anyways, I always make a card for Nessie's birthday, and this year I made a card slightly Twilight inspired, but that could absolutely be a card that someone might give to Nessie.

    Even though I don't drink lattes, I love all things coffee!  I had to make two cards because I couldn't decide what to make.  I used my brand new Pumpkin Spice Vibes stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp and I've got a feeling I'm going to be using this a lot!


    I love them both, I don't think I could pick a favorite!!

    STAMPtember - Day Eleven - Celebrate America

    Hi everyone.  Today's a somber day for everyone, I know it is for me.  This day kind of haunts me, and I feel like it always serves as a reminder of how different our country was back then.  No one tried to politicize the terrorist attacks, we all came together, we supported our country as a whole, it was so different than we are now.

    I always make a card for today, usually a thank you card, which this would work for, to honor those who were lost, and those who risked their lives to help.

    **STASHBUSTERS IG HOP** Week 19 - Use A Crafty Item In More Than One Way

    Welcome to the Stashbusters 2024 Paper Crafting Hop!  Stashbusters 2024 is hosted by Armen @armenscraftroom.  Every other Tuesday, the Stashbusters post 1-6 creative, paper-based projects to share. Our goal is to use the items and supplies we already own to create between 27-162 projects each over the course of 2024.

    Today's hop theme is "Use one item multiple ways to create interactive friendship cards".

    I did two out of three!  I couldn't really nail the "interactive" part of the challenge with my time constraints, but I definitely made cards for girlfriends using the same stamp in three different ways.


    Sometimes I like to split the posts up for the cards, but I didn't feel like doing that today for some reason.  All three cards use the same Simon Says Stamp stamp set in a different way.


    This one I stamped on patterned papers and cut all the pumpkins and gourds out by hand.  I love fussy cutting.

    A couple challenges for this one:



    The copper and gold didn't photograph that well, but I stamped this one with the Lisa Horton metallic inks.  Honestly the jury is still out on these.  I've had these dry really well, like on this card, and not at all on other projects, which makes them just like every other brand of metallic ink pad I've ever had. 😢


    She's my favorite.  So festive with her PSL, ready for a day of errands, and maybe a little fun in there, too.

    STAMPtember - Day Six - Read A Book Day

    I love to read.  Like, really, really love to read.  I don't give myself as much time to read as I wish that I did, but, yeah.  I love to read.

    In one of my favorite movies, You've Got Mail, Kathleen talks about how reading books as a child changes your life so drastically, and I believe that this is true.  And there are times when I feel myself in two worlds, just like Rory Gilmore, and one is a world of books.

    It's been very important to me from the beginning to get my nieces into books and they both love to read.  Everyone should find something they love, and then read about it.

    STAMPtember - Day Three - Witches Stick Together

    I feel like maybe this sentiment doesn't quite go with the card now that it's finished, but I just decided to go on with my original intentions and see how it turned out.

    I'm just not sure I'm happy with the card.  And that was NOT the intended cat but I messed up the one I had stamped, hence the pumpkin peeking out behind the witch.  Witches can have pumpkins in trees, right? 😆

    Hi everyone!  It's a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges and our theme is Inspired By A Book!!!  This can come from the title, the book jacket, the plot or subject matter, a character, anything!  I love to read and Read A Book Day is actually later this week, so I thought this theme would be fitting.

    I was inspired by the jacket for the book It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover.  I absolutely love this book as well as the first in the series, It Ends With Us.  I loved the IEWU movie, too.  Perfect casting.

    STAMPtember Kick Off - Marbled Birthday

    HAPPY STAMPTEMBER!!  It's that time again, when I drive myself crazy trying to do ALL the things and using stamps on every. single. one.  I hopefully planned better this year, we'll see how it goes.

      I'm A Creative Influencer for Kat Scrappiness!!

      Hi everyone!!  I'm so excited today to share that I'm now a Creative Influencer with Kat Scrappiness!  I've been obsessed with Kat's shop since I discovered it a few years ago, she's got amazing dies, shaker bits, paper pads and more.

      She recently released a whole Magical themed collection, and you know how much I love allllll things Disney so of course I'm obsessed with it!



      Check out all the little Minnie and Mickey shaker bits 😍


      This paper pad has such a luxe look and feel to it, it's almost glossy.  I know I'm going to go through a ton of them because I am obsessed with it!

      **CREATE IT 3 WAYS IG CARD HOP** August - Congratulations

      Hi everyone!  I’m participating in an Instagram hop today called Create It 3 Ways!  Hosted by the lovely @amritapettus, this fun hop will take place the third Saturday of every month!  Super fun.  The theme for June is Congratulations!  I wanted to use a congratulations die, but I figured this Diamond Press congrats die was close enough.  I decided to double down and also use the same paper pad and ephemera and stickers, from the Bo Bunny Brighton (hello, Bridgerton!) line.


      I am SO NOT a stickers person but they kinda work, don't they?


      I really love how this one turned out.

      BLOOMing with Inspiration

      I'm a reader, I don't think this is a secret.  In 2022, I found myself accidentally obsessed with Colleen Hoover's books.  I'd read a few over the years, but I really got obsessed with them then.  I discovered It Ends With Us a mere few months before It Starts With Us was published.  I, of course, loved both books and was obsessively waiting for the movie to open.

      I saw it last Saturday, and it didn't disappoint. I'm hoping to see it again while it's still in theatres.  I find that whenever I see a book-to-film adaptation, I have to see it more than once to really absorb it.  The first time I watch it, I'm so worried about what they cut and what they will or won't change.  I really felt that the movie did the subject matter justice.  Justin Baldoni did an amazing job and he should be very proud of himself.  I won't touch too much on anything here, but I would encourage everyone to read this fabulous book.

      The protagonist's name is Lily Bloom, and she's a florist, so it inspired me to make this card.  I didn't think I was going to make something for this movie, but I haven't been able to get it out of my head.  So here it is.


      The sentiment makes sense to the book readers, and probably if you've just seen the film, as well.  I layered vellum stickers to create the flower background and I am NOT a sticker person, but I have to say that all in all I LOVE how it turned out!!!
