Speaking My Mind

I was surfing through the challenge blogs and whizzed by Twofers.  I'd never head of them before, but they seem REALLY cool!  I saw that their theme was SASSY and I thought, dude I can SO do that.  Also, this is my final STAMPtember post!  Makes me kinda sad.

Sweater Weather

In Michigan, we have a super short length of time, usually in early October (some years late September, some years early November when we're lucky!) that I refer to as sweater weather.  That short span of fifty degree weather where you can wear a sweater without a coat and feel fashionable when you go out instead of bulky the way coats make you feel.  This stamp looks to me like she's enjoying sweater weather, that's why I had to have it.

Monster Mash

This time of year makes me so happy.  I love Halloween and I love making kids crafts.  These can work as bag toppers, but I also think they're adorbs for giving kids little gift cards or cash.  Everyone likes a Halloween gift that's NOT candy!  Even kids, whether they know it at the time or not, loooove anything that lasts beyond November 1st.

Bella's Birthday!!

Once a Twihard, always a Twihard!!  Every year I celebrate Bella Swan's birthday with a craft project, and this year's card is a fave!  I wanted the sort of opposite of the card I made for Nessie's birthday.  Renesmee loves glitter and glam and Bella is more vintage and a bit tomboyish.  The apple is an icon in the Saga so I think this was the perfect image.

Happy Thoughts on A Sad Day

Today is a sad day for our country, but I have learned over the years that dwelling helps no one.  I don't forget, but I don't spend these 24 hours watching the same coverage on TV over and over again.

Instead, I spend them watching the final two Twilight movies.  After all, in Forks, WA most of the town wallows and remembers but the Cullen clan celebrate Renesmee's birthday, and so do I.*
