Mema's Crafts BONUS Challenge - Take Two - Winter Tag Card

UGH I have HAD it with this wintery weather!!  So I made a winter themed girly tag card.  I cannot wait until the start of spring!  I am usually not this bothered by it, but I've been fighting a cold for three months and I would like a break!!

This is a second creation for the bonus challenge at Mema's Crafts!  I've made another tag card, but this time I made the tag by hand rather than with Prima tags as the base.

Gotta love that saying!!
Just a few challenges for this one:

Fifty Shades of Playful

I don't know about the rest of you, but I saw Fifty Shades of Grey (more than once!) and I loved it.  I thought the movie was perfectly done, all the lines I wanted were in it, and that doesn't often happen when a book is adapted into a movie.

So of course I'm obsessed with the movie and just had to create some cards based on the film.  I figure that Ana has more than one side to her (don't we all?!) and this is her playful side.  As a friend said when I showed this card to her, this card just screams "Bring on the Red Room of Pain!"

I thought about adding a sentiment, but I figured it was better to leave it customizable.  I could put the words inside instead of on the front.

Just a couple challenges for this one, I know it's not for everyone.

Mema's Crafts BONUS Challenge - Prima Doll Tag

Happy Hump Day!  I'm so excited to share with you my BONUS challenge project for Mema's Crafts!!  We were sent a Prima doll stamp (I got Megan!) and a tag to create something, the only requirement being that we do some paper piecing!!   I knew instantly that I wanted to make a tag card.  I took a Prima tag I already had and added a brad and boom, instant card!!

Here's a photo of it opened, so you can see how well the ledger tag works for the inside.  Even gives you lines to write on :D

Now the fun of this BONUS CHALLENGE is that we're having a little contest amongst our DT.  In four days, there'll be an option to VOTE on the blog and the DT member who gets the most votes wins a prize!  So be sure to stop by and vote, even if it's not for me!  Everyone's work is fabulous.

I'm of course entering some challenges:

The 12 Crafts of Christmas, Day Twelve

(ETA: I don't know how or why but this wound up published on my blog for a bit a few days ago.  I swear Blogger needs to get its own scheduling straight 'cause I can promise you this was NOT scheduled to go live before day eleven!!  Okay rant over now!)

I can't believe I'm here, the last day of my 12 Crafts of Christmas.  This is the most special Christmas thing I made this season, and that's why I saved it for last.  It's my mom's Christmas card, and I'm so lucky she's letting me share it with all of you!

I'm SO into shaker cards now!!  I love love love the way the glitter and sequins and stones move around.

I'm of course entering this in some challenges:

Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  On to finish my half-started crafts now.  Laters!!

**EMBOSSING** New Challenge with Get Creative Challenges!!

Happy Monday!  It's a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges and our theme this fortnight is Embossing!!  I had a lot of fun with this one!  Our lovely sponsor is Lemon Shortbread and I'm working with Goth Fairy Witch.

Her hair is PURPLE!!  I can't believe how blue it looks in the photos!

I added lots of embossing and shimmery accents on this card.  All the stars are shimmery, and I used glitter markers, gel pens and shimmer markers to color the image so she'd have extra sparkle!

I'm of course entering a few challenges:

Happy Hump Day!!!  It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Creations, and this fortnight we have the super fun theme of White Plus One!  Soooo many possibilities with this one!  Our lovely Jeannie has sponsored this challenge, and the lucky winner will get three digi stamps from Dilly Beans!!

I wanted to break out of my box so instead of my traditional white and pink or white and purple, I chose to do white and turquoise!

Happy Monday!!  It's a new challenge at Crafting From The Heart and as always our theme is Anything Goes!!  For our 47th challenge, we have a lovely sponsor in Karleigh Sue Digis.  We were given two digis to work with, and I couldn't decide between them so I made something with both of them.  First up is Cuppa Time.

Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge - Week 21

I cannot believe I'm so behind!  I haven't participated in a COC3 challenge in weeks!  I've been crazy busy though and haven't had all the supplies for some of the techniques.  Anyways, I played along this week and if you don't have a copy of COC3, you can get one here.

Their amazing sponsor this time around is Inspiration Emporium!!  They're giving one lucky artist a $50 gift certificate!  WOW!!

This is what I've created.  I'm sorta upset the clear glitter doesn't photograph great.  It wouldn't show up at all if I took the photo of the card standing up like I usually do I had to take it lying down to get anything to appear.

I used soooooo many TH techniques here!  Tammy Tutterow's techniques. too.

I'm entering some challenges too!

Call Me Supergirl

(You guys remember that old Eminem song "Superman"?  I had it in my head while making this card.  That led to other songs with the word Superman in the title/lyrics.  So now I have "Kryptonite" in my head, which, btw, I saw performed live a couple summers ago and they were GREAT!)

Sorry, so off on a tangent there!  Anyways, music totally played a part in this card, but mainly I started to work with this stamp just because I was watching Arrow and I thought, I need to make a superhero card.  So here it is.

Petal Blossoms

Happy Thursday!  (Also known to me as the day I finally get to see Fifty Shades of Grey!)  I'm so excited to be playing in the Art By Miran FB Group Progressive Challenge.  I just loooooove Miran's gorgeous images.  This one is called Petal Blossom, and I think it's beautiful.

Isn't she gorgeous??  And this card has a fun fold, too.

Lovely and Purrfect

Happy Flash Day!  I'm finally getting a card finished in time for the Unity Challenge!  This month I made a card that fits both their color palette and the sketch.  Here's what I had to work with:

I used one of my newer Angie Girls for this card. I just love love LOVE those stamps!!!

Something fun about this one?  I decorated the inside, too:

Full of Grace - My 500th Post

500 posts.  That's a lot of cards.  A lot of stamps, ink, paper, adhesive and time spent constructing said cards.

I've thought long and hard about what the project for this post might be, and I've decided that it's obvious.

MUSIC.

Everything with me is music.  I decided to start this blog listening to Katy Perry.  The name for this blog comes from a Sarah McLachlan song.  If someone has made a music stamp, I probably have it.  That's how much I love music.

My favorite song of all time is Sarah's "Possession".  I've been working on a canvas with those lyrics for awhile, and it's not finished yet, so I couldn't share it.  I wanted to use that song on another piece, but it wasn't coming together so I made this instead.  "Full Of Grace" is another great one, and has special meaning since it was used in a great episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  It's especially fitting too, since we're in the middle of one of the coldest winters, EVER.

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out.  LOVE. The colors, the glitter and shimmer, everything.

Closeup of Charlee, one of my Unity girls.

Handmade snowflake/flower hybrids.  Love them, too.

I'm entering challenges GALORE with this card!!

Dream Big

Happy TGIT!  I'm so excited for Scandal tonight (how AMAZING was it last week?!?!) but I had to squeeze a quick card in cause OMG I've been working on it for a week.  The color inspiration challenge at Chocolate Coffee and Cards instantly said PEACOCK to me, so that's where I let my muse take me.

This was a really artistic, mixed media journey for me.  I painted and stenciled the backgrounds, die cut and painted the flowers, and fussy cut the peacock out.  Add in the fact that I was out of pop dots and had to make my dimensionals the old fashioned way and it's needless to say that this card took me the entire day with drying time (and two breaks to watch Arrow and Chicago PD).  I'm also super excited that I had flowers left over and can make another card later in the week.  It's not that often that I get to play around without at DT commitment in mind.

I'm entering this in a few challenges:

**LOVE** New Challenge with Creative Moments!

Happy Hump Day!!  It's a new challenge at Creative Moments, and just in time for Valentine's Day our theme is LOVE.  We've got several lovely sponsors this challenge and they all provided us images.  Mine came from Poppyseed Graphics and is called Tribal Valentine.  I thought it would be awesome to print it in two sizes to use as a background paper and a focal image.

And I actually decorated the inside of this one, which I never do!

I wanna enter this in a few challenges:

**PHOTO INSPIRATION** Last Challenge with The Craft Garden!

Hi all!  This post is a day late and I'm sorry to say that it's the last challenge post I'll do for The Craft Garden. We're changing up how things are going and I'll be sharing the details of that soon!

Our final challenge has a photo inspiration theme.  What do you want to make when you look at this?

The colors really jumped out at me--this is the palette that I love.  I also really liked the flowers and made a "love" card rather than just a valentine.  I like cards that will extend beyond the actual holiday.

I'm entering this in a few challenges:
