Birthday Break



Happy birthday to ME!!!  As I celebrate with glitter and Twilight movies and chocolate and so. many. new. crafts. I wanted to stop by here and share a little tag and say that I won't be around much for the rest of the year.  My DT posts will probably be the only things you'll see from me until at least December 26th (SALES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).  I love to shop and make presents and make wrapping for the presents and that's what I'll be doing along with watching Christmas movies (I just like to smile!  Smiling's my favorite!) and listening to Christmas music.  Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and a plentiful Black Friday shopping spree!!!  Laters!

Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge - Week 15

I'm always at the last minute, but that actually makes me create better work, I think.  The 15th COC3 Challenge is almost at its deadline, and this time around it was Cabinet Card Pockets!  If you don't have a copy of COC3, you can get one here.

I'm on a Christmas kick right now, so I made a Christmas project.  I loooove how this turned out!

Tis The Season

New DT Announcement!!

Just a quick post today to announce my new DT position with Crafts2Celebrate!!  The blog is featuring my art and debuting me as a DT member today, you can check out the post here.  We're all showcasing some of our favorite celebration-based makes, and this is one of mine, from March.

Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, Week 14

ALWAYS to the last minute, I'm just barely getting my card done for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 3.  This week's technique is Colored Crackle.  This is something I haven't tackled before so it was super fun.  You can find this technique in Tim's book, A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3 which you can purchase here.

*THIS* Is My Last Halloween Post

A friend said to me, "Where are all your Christmas projects?!" and yes, I was painting ornaments when she asked, but still.  I'm still in Halloween mode! :D  Plus, there's Thanksgiving to think about.....This same friend asked if she was going to see Christmas cards from me in January (the answer is probably yes).

Pastel Experiment

Hi all.  I'm still playing around with making my own texture paste (since I could just about use the Ranger stuff on every project I make and at $8 a jar I'd go bankrupt!  Plus I can't get it locally :( ) and this batch seems a bit smoother. I got a new stencil to play with and decided to make a tag for the latest Tis The Season Stamping challenge!  It calls for pastel colors...


I made this tag, and I may later turn it into a card and give it further embellishment, not sure yet.
